3 minute fudge

Posted on March 12, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a classic, quick and easy recipe for 3-Minute Fudge—perfect when you want a rich, creamy chocolate treat fast. This recipe doesn’t require a candy thermometer.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk (whole milk works best)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional: 1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts, pecans, etc.)

Instructions:

  1. Combine ingredients
In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, milk, butter, cocoa powder, and salt.
  2. Boil for 3 minutes
Place over medium heat and stir constantly. Once it reaches a rolling boil, continue boiling for 3 minutes without stirring.
  3. Cool slightly
Remove from heat and let sit for 2–3 minutes.
  4. Add vanilla and beat
Stir in vanilla. Beat the mixture with a wooden spoon or hand mixer until it thickens and loses its gloss (about 2–3 minutes).
  5. Add nuts (optional)
If using, fold in chopped nuts.
  6. Pour and set
Pour into a greased 8×8-inch pan. Let cool at room temperature until firm (about 1–2 hours).
  7. Cut and enjoy
Slice into squares and savor your creamy fudge!

💡 Tips:

  • Make sure to stir constantly while boiling to prevent burning.
  • Use fresh milk and butter for a smoother texture.
  • You can substitute cocoa with chocolate chips for a richer fudge.

If you want, I can also give a microwave version that literally takes 3 minutes start to finish—super fast for last-minute cravings.

Do you want me to show that version too?
