No worries! That “5-minute shortcut” version is basically a super-easy, almost no-fuss apple dessert that tastes just like apple pie—but you don’t need to deal with rolling dough or multiple pans. Here’s how it goes:

5-Minute “Melt-in-Your-Mouth” Apple Pie (Skillet Version)

Ingredients:

  • 2–3 apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
  • 2–3 tbsp butter
  • 2–3 tbsp brown sugar (or regular sugar)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch of nutmeg (optional)
  • 1 ready-made biscuit, scone, or pie dough (optional for topping)

Instructions:

  1. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Cook the apples: Add apples, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir gently until apples are soft and syrupy (about 5–7 minutes).
  3. Optional topping: Tear biscuit/pastry dough into pieces and place on top of apples. Cover skillet and cook another 5–7 minutes until dough is cooked and slightly golden.
  4. Serve warm—you can add ice cream or a drizzle of caramel for that extra “wow” factor.

It’s basically an apple pie that’s ready faster than you can say “yum” and still soft, sweet, and melt-in-your-mouth. 🍎✨

If you want, I can also give a trick for making it even softer and juicier without turning it into mush—some people get that wrong the first time. Do you want that tip?
