About 15 minutes before a stroke, the body usually sends 4 distinct signals

Posted on April 6, 2026 by Admin

A stroke can sometimes give subtle warning signs minutes to hours before it happens, and recognizing them quickly can be life-saving. Here are 4 distinct signals your body may send about 15 minutes before a stroke:

1. Sudden Weakness or Numbness

  • Often occurs on one side of the body, including the face, arm, or leg.
  • May feel like sudden heaviness or inability to lift or hold objects.

2. Trouble Speaking or Understanding

  • Slurred speech, difficulty finding words, or confusion.
  • People nearby may notice you can’t form sentences normally.

3. Vision Problems

  • Sudden blurred, double, or darkened vision, sometimes in one eye.
  • May also include difficulty focusing or seeing objects clearly.

4. Severe Headache or Dizziness

  • An abrupt, intense headache unlike usual migraines.
  • May be accompanied by loss of balance, dizziness, or trouble walking.

💡 FAST Reminder for Stroke:

  • F – Face drooping
  • A – Arm weakness
  • S – Speech difficulty
  • T – Time to call emergency services

⏱ Critical: Acting within minutes can prevent permanent damage. If you or someone else experiences any of these signs, call emergency services immediately.

I can also make a “Minute-by-Minute Stroke Warning Guide” showing subtle early signs and what to do in real time—it’s very practical for families. Do you want me to make that?
